Please view our discount page, for rugs that may have some flaws.
Such as ordinary wear for its age, frayed edges, and/or small
areas of low pile.  We have several rugs that are really beautiful
but have imperfections, which we will fully disclose.  Great for entry
ways, or high traffic area.  Yet, adding true class to a undesirable
area.  They are still extremely durable, have all wool pile, and are
hand-made, with outstanding creative designs.

Each rug is different in color, texture, and design.  Some are wool pile on a wool foundation, some are wool pile on
cotton foundation, silk and KASHMIR wool pile on cotton or silk foundation.  Flat woven rugs are called  kilims ( or
kelims, depending which dictionary, Oriental rug book or encyclopedia you read).  Some have leather binding on the
outer edge; some have fringe or stitching.   Many factors go into our evaluation and the market value of a rug. These
factors include, but are not limited to: type and quality of materials used, craftsmanship, creativity, artistic design, colors
and types of dyes used, detailing, age, condition, size, and the number of knots per square inch (KPSI).  The rugs with
finer yarns and materials usually have a higher number of knots per square inch (KPSI), and therefore more finely
detailed designs and patterns.  I have personal experience with the art of weaving, and I know for a fact that 20 years
ago, the price you would have to pay for just the yarn to make these rugs, excluding any labor cost, would be more
than the current bargain prices of these rugs.
